Workshop days can be at Mudgeeraba on the gold Coast or at your salon/ home.

Note a travel fee applies depending on where you live.


The student is equipped with the basic beauty treatment skills necessary to work in a beauty salon or department store in a variety of beauty practices.

Course Outline


The course includes pre clinical skills, client service skills and retail selling techniques.
It will teach students how to provide lash and brow techniques and temporary
Epilation and bleaching treatments, but does not include facials, body treatments
or massage techniques.

The qualification of Certificate III in Beauty Services is issued to students after completion of the course.
If partial completion is achieved by a student, a Statement of Attainment (achievement) is issued. Student completing this course may go on to further their studies to complete the Diploma of Beauty Therapy.


Course Duration


Full Time Option
The full time Certificate III in Beauty Services.
The full time course runs three (3) days per week.
You choose the days.
A Teacher will be available on those days for your one on one training via web conference.
Complete all theory then practical training.

After one month a work experience day should be organized with a list of modules
for you to attend to at the work place.

Six Months Option
For the six months course 1.5 days a week must be set aside
Plus 1 day each month minimum work experience. At A salon near you.

Twelve Months Option
For the 12 months option 1 day per week must be set aside
Plus 1 day per month work experience. At A Salon near you.


Course Start Dates
1st Feb, 5th March, 6th April , 6th May
June July August September Oct Nov Start dates are 1st Monday of each month.

We now offer payment plans, payable monthly throughout the duration of the course.

Recognised Qualifications


The Certificate III in Beauty Services course (WRB30104) is a nationally recognised qualification
. The program is structured in line with the National Beauty Training Package.
Special Interest Subjects


Note that all units can be purchased individually as special interest subjects. However, some units
may require the completion of prerequisites. For more information on start dates, fees and
prerequisites please contact the Academy.
Entry Requirements
Students should have completed Year 10 (or equivalent) and should be at least 15 years of age.
Applicants who have not completed Year 10 (or equivalent) should include with their application
form all relevant information about their interests, studies and experience that supports their
application.

Career Opportunities
Successful graduates from the Certificate III in Beauty Services course can become
self employed as junior beauty therapists specialising in waxing, tinting, manicure,
pedicure and makeup, or as specialists in wedding and formal makeup.
